Solid contact and payable misses are two areas that I believe most non-pros and elite players desire more of. I might agree that there's a ceiling to it but at the courses I play, distance in and of itself isn't something that would change my scores. Swing speed is up too but I don't follow their strict method for the downswing. If anything, I have gained 15-20yds on each club (especially the driver) simply because I have made much more regular solid contact. Just 4 rounds but it's completely eliminated the thin, topped dribbler that never gets off the ground and goes 30yds. Feeling like I am rotating around my front leg and driving my lead shoulder to the ground on the takeaway has fixed the problem, almost entirely. I am a 12-13 but have a serious sway problem away from the ball. I have just this spring begun integrating some Stack & Tilt principals into my swing. But if you're looking to get real good in the long term at golf, you probably want to learn a technique which will not artificially limit your power and distance. If you're a 25 and your aim is to get 15 and no better, or 10 and no better than you might consider it. On top of that, if you want to ever get past that ceiling, you have to learn a completely new technique. Ultimately, it can be used as a tool to get a weaker swinger to make better repeated contact and improve somewhat - especially in avoiding huge mishits - but comes with a price that is a hard ceiling on your ability to improve and to hit longer tee shots and longer clubs from the fairway. However, it comes at a cost of lowering maximum potential power, and for many lower swing speed amateurs a significant loss of distance with longer clubs - precisely the ones in the bag they need distance with the most. Stack and Tilt provides a way for players to make a more repeatable strike on the ball by making it easier to control the lowpoint of the swing, and the technique forces players to turn their hips a little more than many "armsy" players do - which is a good thing for many players and can lead to quick gains in power and distance if they started in a bad place.

He said its a holy-war in the teaching pro community. Its a small community so he knew each and everyone of those guys. "its a dumb looking swing that shouldn't be taught"Ī few days later I ran into my coach and we had a laugh about it. please tell me he isn't teaching you that Stack and Tilt crap?" For the next 5 minutes these five guys just starting to bitch and moan about stack & tilt. It was like I told them I was fucking their girlfriends and kicked their dogs. I replied with "Yea, I have been working with for the past 5 years" In the conversation they asked me how my game was coming and if I was working with anyone. The other day I ran into five acquaintances of mine who all happen to be teaching pros.
